Today raked up leaves from the lawn
Rhythmic raking of relics
Untidy cast offs cast into tidy piles
No hurry. Plenty of time for a cup of tea.
Piled into bin bags and left to rot
Faith in the future. Next autumn the leaves will be compost. Will I be any different from now?
