North South Divide

How I did laugh! We're still damp up here.

There was an article on Radio 4 today (yes, middle aged and middle class) about the water shortages which was interestingly followed by Alex Salmond, First Minister of Scotland, answering questions from children about Scottish independence.  It made me think that the Scots might be onto something. Maybe they could afford to be independent given their wealth not only in oil but water.  Some years in the future England might have to buy its water from Scotland. And if you push that idea perhaps Northern counties could charge Southern ones for our abundance.

Wonder what I would get if I took a bucketful down to my mum and dad in Suffolk?
